Cultures grow on the vines of tradition
Taking photos amongst the pumpkins was probably my favourite shoot of the year, I’m totally in love with the results. The images are so vibrantly warm and cosy which was amazing to capture considering the cold and rain at the time.
The pumpkin patch is a great, and relatively new, family tradition in this country. It is so fun to get out in the mud to pick your pumpkin to carve, and the excitement on the little ones faces is so beautiful to capture – even when they are too little to understand, the novelty of the pumpkin patch is completely captivating.
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice
The patch is super busy, there are so many families out in October exploring the fields and running around. In between all of the busy there are quiet moments to be found – like this special time between father and son, perhaps not choosing the perfect pumpkin but being together, the love shines through.
The camera can find it all, the father and son spending the time that they don’t find together in the week, the mother, gentle and supportive of little feet on uneven ground, the siblings sharing the joy of pumpkin picking, the little one, in awe of all of the colours around him.
2019 Mini Sessions
Mini Sessions are smaller than a regular photo shoot – with limited time and a set number of images provided. I am currently mapping out my plan for 2019 and will definitely be incorporating more beautiful, orangey pumpkin patch goodness. Keep an eye on my facebook and instagram for an announcement on when the dates are released, or else drop me a message today to pop your name onto my wait list as this will make sure that you are the first to know when the bookings are released.
